A group of close family members stood up against the limitations of medicine and science to tackle neuromuscular diseases that impact their children. Yolaine de Kepper, a mother of seven children, four of whom are affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy, took the initiative to establish and lead the Association as its founder and first president.
